Bravado’s UK chief promoted to European sales role
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 14 January 2014
Universal Music’s merch company Bravado yesterday announced that its UK boss David Boyne had been promoted to the new role of Head Of European Sales, though he will continue to lead the British side of the business too.
The appointment was confirmed by Bravado’s CEO Tom Bennett, who told CMU: “David has done a fantastic job at Bravado UK since joining us three years ago. With his instinctive understanding of the lifestyle clothing sector, of building brands and of retail he has transformed our UK business and I’m looking forward to him having a similar impact on our already highly successful European operations”.
Boyne, who spent 20 years in the fashion sector before joining Bravado in 2010, added: “This is such an exciting time for our business and Bravado is better placed than anyone to capitalise on the retail opportunities for music and lifestyle merchandise. Bravado UK has done amazingly well in recent years and I’m really looking forward to now working much more closely with all our teams across Europe as well”.
