Black Sabbath to release vinyl boxset
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 15 November 2012
On 12 Dec, Universal Music will release a vinyl box-set commemorating what are considered Black Sabbath’s most iconic LPs, aka those dating between 1970 and 1978. This is an artist’s impression of what it’ll look like.
But what’s inside? Well, nine twelve-inch records – all remastered to near-pristine studio quality – for a start, also a seven-inch single comprising the band’s first ever single ‘Evil Woman’ and b-side ‘Wicked World’. A book featuring original tour programmes, a code to download the set online, a ‘Master Of Reality’ poster and ‘Volume 4’ photo insert also dwell within.
Pressing on with their recent reunion – though presumably still sans estranged drummer Bill Ward – Black Sabbath also say via the above Facebook link that they’ll definitely release a brand new LP in the new year.
