Bieber lawyers ask for DUI trial to be pushed back
By Chris Cooke | Published on Wednesday 23 April 2014
Justin Bieber’s legal reps have asked for more time to prepare the pop tyke’s defence to DUI and resisting arrest charges relating to that incident in Florida back in January.
The pop singer’s lawyers submitted a motion on Monday asking that their client’s trial, currently set to kick off on 5 May in Miami, be pushed back so that the attorneys have more time to prepare. The legal papers noted that the prosecution in the case did not oppose the postponement.
A hearing will consider the motion later today.
