BB King estate hearing pushed back
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 12 June 2015
The expected court hearing later today to consider the previously reported dispute over BB King’s estate has been postponed to 22 Jun. The rescheduling means that the judge who heads the probate courts in Las Vegas will now hear the dispute.
As previously reported, some of the late blues legend’s children have made allegations against their father’s long-time business manager and personal assistant, LaVerne Toney and Myron Johnson respectively. The former is named as executor in King’s will, and some of the children are attempting to block that appointment.
Legal reps for Toney and Johnson have rejected all the claims made against their clients, calling them “spurious and unjustified allegations”.
