As I Lay Dying splinter band birth new single

Four of the dudes from As I Lay Dying have placed a single they’re releasing via their splinter band, Wovenwar, online. AILD, of course, was put on hold following frontman Tim Lambesis’s arrest for (and later admission of) trying to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife. Lambesis is awaiting sentencing in early May, and is expected to receive a nine year jail term.

Of Wovenwar’s Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso, Josh Gilbert and Jordan Mancino, only Mancino is still officially ‘in’ As I Lay Dying, according to a statement made by AILD HQ last week, which claimed the band was on some sort of hiatus. They and Wovenwar vocalist Shane Blay, also of Oh, Sleeper, will release their ironically-titled first single ‘All Rise’ on 21 Apr, via long-time AILD label Metal Blade.
