Arctic Monkeys in studio “working stuff out”
By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 13 March 2013
Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders has said that the band are optimistic they’ll release a new LP, the follow-on to 2011’s ‘Suck It And See’, this year. Not that they’ve started. At present, they’re just “working stuff out” in a casual kind of fashion.
Talking to BBC Newsbeat, a non-committal Helders said he was “definitely happy” with what he, Alex Turner et al have done so far, adding: “Hopefully we’ll get it out this year – that’s the plan. We’ve just been working stuff out with the band. Nothing serious yet. It’s just been us four working stuff out like we used to I guess. We had a bit of a break. It’s always weird when you first get back into it, to know what kind of songs we write any more”.
