Easter weekend begins tomorrow, which means four days of partying. That’s what it’s all about, right? Sure, you can have a break to eat a chocolate egg or two once in a while, but basically this is a prime opportunity for dancing. So, here are the picks of the long weekend…

Good Friday: House Of Trax at Dance Tunnel
Kicking things off, Good Friday sees Paul Johnson fly in from Chicago to Dance Tunnel for a long set. With nigh on 30 years of DJing experience and a top five UK hit under his belt this house head is not to be missed.

Friday 18 Apr, 95 Kingsland High Street, Dalston, London, E8 2PB, 10pm – 3am, £10, more info here.

Easter Saturday: Lost at Fire
I know I’ve tipped Lost a lot lately, but it’s hard not to when they keep putting together such great line-ups. They have a corker this Easter Saturday with Jeff Mills over for an exclusive show, as well as FK and Lost head honcho Steve Bicknell.

Saturday 19 Apr, Fire, South Lambeth Road, SW8, 11pm – 7am, £15, more info here.

Easter Saturday: Memory Box presents A History Of Acid House at Plan B
If you’re all Losted out, then another Saturday option is to head to Brixton’s Plan B to catch Mr C. The night is Memory Box which sees nights that explore the history of acid house. Mr C will be joined by Chicago based hip house creator, Tyree Cooper.

Saturday 19 Apr, Plan B, 418 Brixton Road, Brixton, London, SW9 7AY, 10pm – 5am, £15, more info here.

Easter Saturday: Soundcrash presents Madlib at Koko
It’s a busy night on Saturday, but maybe you could fit in a couple, because here’s yet another great line-up. Multi-instrumentalist, rapper, producer and all round legend, Madlib (pictured) will be flying in from LA to bash down some beats and pieces for Soundcrash, with support from Jeremiah Jae, Moire, and Kutmah.

Saturday 19 Apr, Koko, 1a Camden High Street, Camden Town, London, NW1 7JE, 9pm – 3am, £19.50, more info here.

Easter Sunday: Groove Odyssey at Ministry Of Sound
You’ve got all of Monday to rest, so let’s fit in one more night out. On Easter Sunday the Groove Odyssey crew hold their House Legends Party at Ministry, with one of my faves, Louie Vega from NYC, plus a rare UK appearance by the rather excellent Josh Milan from East Coast US.

Sunday 20 Apr, Ministry Of Sound, 103 Gaunt Street, Elephant & Castle, London, SE1 6DP, 10pm – 6am, £18, more info here.
