Approved: Shuttle
By Andy Malt | Published on Monday 7 June 2010
An incredibly exciting presence rising up the ranks of electronic music, Shuttle, aka Passion Pit drummer Nate Donmoyer, is one of the newest additions to Ninja Tune’s roster. Not subscribing to any one genre, dabbling in everything from dubstep to R&B, he takes a songwriter’s approach to making dance music and, despite the variation, has a style that is distinctly his own.
With a raft of great remixes for artists including Justice, Phoenix and, of course, Passion Pit under his belt, Shuttle released his debut single, ‘Tunnel’, in March, which features a great collaboration with Cadence Weapon, in the form of ‘Rotten Guts’ on the b-side.
An album is apparently on the way, and right now (and for the next two days) you can download an edit of a track written exclusively for Ninja Tune’s twentieth birthday boxset and his remix of ‘HRS:MINS:SECS’ by Daedelus for free at www.ninjatunexx.com. To hear more, check his MySpace.
