Approved: Bitch Falcon

Bitch Falcon have spent the last few years building their reputation as a hell of a live band, while eeking out singles as markers of the development of their sound.
That sound leans on various strains of rock, with a bit of grunge here, a touch of hardcore there, ending up with a mix that brings to mind bands like Helmet, Melvins and Kerbdog at various points. Already pretty heavy, their riffs have slipped even further down to the low end over the course of this year, with tracks like ‘Clutch’ and ‘Syncope’.
New single ‘Of Heart’ feels like a pivotal tip of the balance. Its slow pace and grinding guitars underneath bandleader Lizzie Fitzpatrick’s stout vocals make it a really exciting point to be listening to this band.
