Approved: AlunaGeorge – Your Drums, Your Love

Almost a year since they first released the best single of 2011, aka ‘You Know You Like It’ (which was re-released in June by Tri Angle), AlunaGeorge have let another track creep out of their studio, ‘Your Drums, Your Love’. A stand out of their live shows, the track will be released by Universal/Island on 7 Oct.
A slower paced, less playful track than ‘You Know You Like It’, Aluna Francis’ distinctive voice flows over the song, distracting attention from just how off kilter George Reid’s production is, subtly subverting what on the surface appears to be a straight-up pop song. It’s a process perhaps more easily deconstructed by listening to the duo’s recent rework of Rustie’s ‘After Light’.
