Andy Fixmer joins global comms team at Universal Music

Universal Music has a new VP Global Communications, which was globally communicated to me with adept skill and charm late last night. Look at that, just in the door and he’s already working his magic.
Not that Universal Music’s communications previously lacked skill or charm you understand. They’re all marvellous over at Universal HQ. Oh no, now I sound like I’m in cahoots with ‘The Man’. They’re a bunch of bastards those lovely evil competent handsome devious masterful pesky wonderful dangerous helpful major label public relations men. And ladies. Actually, I mainly deal with the ladies.
Aaaaaanyway, Andy Fixmer formerly off of Bloomberg, has been appointed VP Global Communications at Universal Music’s Santa Monica HQ, reporting into Exec VP and Head Of Global Communications Will Tanous. In his new role he’ll quickly get himself busy communicating stuff.
Says Tanous: “I’m very pleased to welcome Andy to our communications team. His vast experience as a business journalist combined with a deep understanding of news reporting in the digital age provides us with a unique perspective and skill set that will be a valuable addition to our team”.
