Alcopop! Bike

Well Christ (were Christ a rock compilation LP) on a bike! Clearly still a bit light-headed from their ‘Best Small Label’ win at this year’s AIM Awards, Alcopop! Records have decided their next ‘Alcopopular’ compilation, ‘Highway To The Velodrome’, will be released along with its own custom-built cycle, designed by Mango Bikes.

It’s priced at £300, and will wheel in on 25 Nov with an accompanying disc featuring tracks by Alcopop!-approved acts like Gnarwolves, Playlounge, Radstewart, Throwing Up and Crushed Beaks. Fans unable to part with £300 can instead get the ‘Highway’ set by itself, either digitally or on CD, for a lot less.

Alcopop! Co-boss Jack Clothier says: “Creativity has always been a big part of the indie industry, and we were really keen to do something big with our latest ‘Alcopopular’ compilation, where we can do something eye-catching without really worrying about conventional release rack space. We’ve put together a line up of awesome of bands and friends which we’re super proud of, and I’m hoping that the compilation will go down nicely”.
