Adele’s house is a CD house
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 2 December 2015
Adele doesn’t only defiantly push CD sales in public, she also does it at home. Speaking to Rolling Stone she said she doesn’t subscribe to any streaming services and has “CDs out on display in my house just to prove a point”.
In a newly published outtake from her October cover interview, she says: “[Streaming] probably is the future, but, eh. There are kids I know who are, like, nine who don’t even know what a fucking CD is! I’ve got my CDs out on display in my house just to prove a point. Maybe CDs will have a massive comeback like vinyl did. Actually I think cassettes, just to be a pain in the arse! I’ve got all my Destiny’s Child cassettes!”
I think that’s her putting herself forward as ambassador for next year’s Cassette Store Day.
