Adele hints re LP three, 25
By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 7 May 2014
Well, here’s news. It’s looking a lot like Adele’s third LP will be titled ’25’, and will be released this year. Why am I saying these things? Because Adele said, or at least implied, them first via Twitter, on Sunday night at 11.26pm. That’s why.
And although Sunday was actually Adele’s 26th birthday, that fact only explains away the first bit of her tweet, which read: “Bye bye 25… See you again later in the year x”, and came with a photo of Adele looking pleased, almost as if she’d just finished making an album. Yeah, that’s definitely an “I’ve just finished an album” face, if I ever saw one.
So as to the first part of the tweet and, bar the really-pretty-feasible possibility that Adele has got so astronomically rich as to own a time machine, it’s likely that an LP tying into the singer’s age-titling-LP-trend, a la ’19’ and ’21’, is on its way soon. And if it is, it might feature Phil ‘cave man’ Collins. And even likelier, it’ll credit OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, who worked on ’21’, and said a while back that he’d been involved in the new LP, as a songwriter.
PS Happy belated birthday, Adele.
