Jeremy Fabinyi departs PRS

Jeremy Fabinyi has stepped down from his full-time roll at UK collecting society PRS For Music after nine months in the role of Executive Director Licensing.

Fabinyi previously spent six months as Acting CEO of the society after the sudden departure of former boss Steve Porter last year. He took on his most recent role after former Sony exec Robert Ashcroft was appointed CEO in January.

Fabinyi left the Society last week though will continue to work with the organisation in an advisory capacity. Jez Bell, formerly Director Of Broadcast & Online, will take over Fabinyi’s former areas of responsibility in addition to his own in a new role, job title tbc (possibly The Main Man).

Commenting on Fabinyi’s departure, Ashcroft told Music Week: “I would like to thank Jeremy for his enormous contribution both to PRS For Music and to the industry that he has served, and continues to serve, with such distinction. I look forward to continuing to draw on his unrivalled experience and knowledge in the future”.
