50 Cent faces domestic violence and vandalism charges after an incident at the home of an ex-girlfriend last month. Details of the altercation are sketchy, but reports suggest the rapper caused over $7000 of damage at his former partner’s Californian home after going on a rampage on 23 Jun. He is also accused of kicking his ex.

The LA City Attorney’s Office confirmed the charges, five in total, yesterday, adding: “Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office. We will continue to look out for the safety of all victims of domestic violence and seek justice for the alleged crimes”.

Fiddy could face five years in jail and fines of up to $46,000 if found guilty of the charges he now faces. He is due in court on 22 Jul, though as yet has not commented on the allegations against him.
